February 14th - 18th

We loved handing out our Valentine's Day treats to our friends!

We celebrated Black History Month by listening and dancing to talented black artists.
We danced to "it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing" by Ella Fitzgerald, "Ain't no mountain high enough" by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, "ABC" by the Jackson Five, "Motown Philly" by Boys II Men, and "Rappers Delight" by the Sugarhill Gang (clean version).

We sang along and danced with Miss Jessica.  We love her song "Black people who changed the world."  You can view it  here.

We read one of our favorite books, Hair Love by Matthew Cherry, you can read it here

On Thursday evening, our second graders received the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

We came together as a school community in prayer to listen the beautiful message of forgiveness that this Sacrament offers.  Our prayer service was led by the second graders and they did a wonderful job!
