Each Day 2 at 2:00 p.m. we have Community Time. Community Time is spent with our "families" , a few grades together or even just the EC division. This week during CT time we attended a Volleyball game. The game was 8th grade vs the teachers!!! The students made signs supporting each team. They thought it was so funny to see the teachers play!

The Early Childhood Division has added more service projects into our curriculum this year. This week we learned about Veterans: Who they are and What they did. We then colored a picture and our older students wrote 'Thank you' letters to men and women currently serving our country. The pictures and letters were mailed out to Operation Gratitude.
As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, we are reminded of the Holy Child Tradition to reach out to
needy families in the community. This year, we have identified 13 local families who are in need
of our support. We will deliver baskets filled with fresh food, groceries and baked goods to these
families the morning of Sunday, November 18, 2018 beginning at 8am.
This year we will be supporting families at St. Charles in Drexel Hill, St. George in Norwood and
St. Laurence in Upper Darby.
The Seventh and Eighth Graders will bake pumpkin bread under
the direction of Mrs. Mueller and Mrs. Mosser. The 3rd and 4th graders will make cards and
placemats to personalize the baskets.
We kindly ask each student to help provide other items needed for the Thanksgiving dinner. Boxes
for donations will be located in the back of the cafeteria.
