This week the Nursery 3 students learned about table manners!
We also learned a song to remind us to always say please.

We substituted peas for others foods like mashed potatoes, cranberries, pumpkin pie and turkey.
We practiced saying "Yes, please" and "No, thank you" for Thanksgiving foods we may or may not want to try. The children took turns saying to each other "Would you like turkey?" or "Would you like mashed potatoes?" Each child took turns asking and replying.
As Thanksgiving quickly approaches, we are reminded of the Holy Child tradition to reach out to
needy families in the community. This year, we have identified 12 local families who are in need
of our support. We will deliver baskets filled with fresh food, groceries and baked goods to these
families the morning of Sunday, November 24, 2018 beginning at 8am.
This year we will be supporting families at St. Charles in Drexel Hill, St. George in Norwood and
St. Laurence in Upper Darby. The Seventh and Eighth Graders will bake desserts under the
direction of Dr. Kellich. The 3rd and 4th graders will make cards and placemats to personalize the
baskets.
We kindly ask each student to help provide other items needed for the Thanksgiving dinner.
**Nursery 3 students are being asked to donate two large jars of applesauce.**
