April 5 - 9

I hope that everyone had a great Spring Break and a Blessed Easter!
We are so excited to be back with our friends!😊

This week we learned about plants.
We looked at a plant's stem, roots, and leaves.
We learned they can grow in the forest, a field and even our front yards.

Is it a plant?
The children were given pictures of plants and items that are not plants.  They had to decide which column the picture should go in.

The finished product.

We made cherry blossom trees.

We practiced quantities for numbers up to 10.

We fed the birds the corresponding number of worms that were on their nests.

  • Please remember to return your family leaf that was sent home before the break. We are excited to display these in school!

  • April is Arab American Heritage Month. If you or someone you know would be willing to share with a class, a division, or multiple groups to enhance our celebration in any way, please email jmyers@holychildacademy.com, and we will make it as easy as possible.

  • Looking forward, May is Asian and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month. If you have ideas or suggestions for our celebrations for those months, please email jmyers@holychildacademy.com.

Happy Summer!
