Valentine's Day & the 100th Day of School!

Friendship!
Our Weekly Reader this week talked about friendship and what it means to be a good friend.  As a class, we came up with things as well.  Some thoughts were: share your toys, don't make your friend cry, share your snack and say I am sorry.

We worked on building patterns with different color hearts in honor of Valentine's Day!

Can you believe we have been in school 100 days?!

To celebrate, we did several activities.

We began our day building with 100 cups!  We had such a great time seeing how high we could build.

Do you know what 100 pieces of snack looks like?  We counted 10 groups of ten of cheerios, marshmallows and skittles.
It was so hard to NOT eat the snack before we were done counting to 100!

After all that snack it was time for a little exercise!
We did ten different exercises ten times!

What does 100 drops of water look like?

First we predicted that 100 drops of water would fill our container.   Then we put it to the test.

We were wrong!  (and so surprised!)

Enjoy the four day weekend!

And don't forget to purchase your tickets for the auction!
